We use Google Firebase Crashlytics to collect anonymous crash reports and app performance data. This data is fully anonymized and cannot be traced back to individual users. It helps us identify and fix technical issues in the application.

2.3 Recipe and Content Data

When you post recipes, photos, or other content, we store this data securely on our servers. This includes recipes you create, ingredients lists, and photos you upload.

2.4 Grocery List Data

We store your generated grocery lists to help you manage your shopping. This data remains on our secure servers.

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To provide and improve the Nachu recipe discovery and sharing service

All users have the ability to report inappropriate content or users. When you report:

  • Your report is submitted to our moderation team
  • We review the report within 24 hours
  • We may access reported content to investigate
  • You will be notified of the action taken

4.2 Enforcement Actions

Upon verification of policy violations, we take swift action:

  • Content Removal: Inappropriate content is immediately removed
  • Account Suspension: Temporary suspension for violations
  • Permanent Ban: Permanent removal for serious violations

5. Data Storage and Security

Server Location: Your data is stored securely on servers hosted in Europe, ensuring GDPR compliance.

Security Measures: We implement industry-standard security practices including encryption in transit and at rest. Your data is protected with authentication tokens and access controls.

6. Data Sharing

We do not share your personal data with third parties. We do not sell, trade, or rent your information. The only exception is that crash and performance data is sent to Google Firebase Crashlytics in anonymized form for app improvement purposes.

7. Your Rights and Data Deletion

7.1 Self-Service Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time directly through the app:

  • Tap the Settings tab in the bottom navigation bar
  • Go to your Profile page
  • Tap "Delete Account"
  • Confirm your decision

Once you delete your account, all your data (profile, recipes, photos, grocery lists) will be permanently removed from our servers immediately and cannot be recovered.

7.2 Data Deletion via Email

Alternatively, you can request account deletion by email:

  • Email us at privacy@nachu.nl with your request
  • Include your account email address
  • We will confirm your identity and process your deletion request within 30 days
  • You will receive confirmation once your data has been deleted

8. GDPR Compliance

Nachu complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). If you are a resident of the European Union or UK, you have additional rights including the right to access, correct, and delete your personal data.
